We are proud to present our latest product The Famous Ripper///GC
modchip. The best design is, as always, brought to you by The Ripper
Team.

The CORE of the Ripper///GC modchip is specially designed for the GC
console. In order to fulfill the demanding and very high speed
transmission over the serial interface we had to redesign the PCB to
make it more compatible with the 32Mbit data stream. The GND plane on
the back side of the Ripper///GC is redesigned and looks hashed.
Please look at the images below. The GND plane redesign was a must to
lower the capacitance of transmission lines and to provide an error
free transmission. Also the impedance of transmission lines is
precisely balanced. Our chip does not freeze. The Ripper///GC starts
every time you press the power button and it does not freeze the
console causing the laser unit of your GC to fail. It will _NOT_
freeze your GC's laser with the laser diode ON:-)

* Only 7 wires to solder including power and ground.
* LED diode test feature for the proper chip functionality. You don't need to assemble the console, even the heat sink to test if
everything is OK. You can check if you don't have a short circuit. You can power the motherboard for several seconds without aluminum heat sink before assembly. The LED diode also tests the CRC of the contents of the on board flash memory, ensuring you that everything
is working perfectly. If the sophisticated CRC mechanism inside the FPGA discovers that something has been altered then the chip will be disabled.
* Every chip delivered is 100% guarantied to be operational by extensive jig testing of every device before shipment.
* Pb-free soldering process.
* We use Actel's low power, extreme secure, antifuse FPGA.
* 3.3V Actel low power technology with 2.5V digital core.
* 70ns 1Mb on board Flash memory. (Can be easily expanded to 4Mb).
* Fully static, ground bounce free technology.
* Extremely good timings and logic levels on the high speed GC bus.
* Ripper///GC has an excellent setup menu where you can make some choices and save them on the chip.
* Selectable default boot action (Main menu, Boot DVD, BOOT Original Bios, Boot Region Free).
* Selectable default boot action (Main menu, Boot DVD, BOOT Original Bios, Boot Region Free).
* Selectable default boot video mode (AUTO, NTSC, PAL50, PAL60).
* Users programmable X key definition during powering up your GC.
* You can press the Y button at any time to enter the configuration menu if another default boot option is selected and saved permanently on the chip.
* Special and unique chip disable feature by the DVD door switch state. For example if you want to boot an original game from your region, you don't need to do anything special. Simply close the GC's DVD cover and press the power button. Nothing else! The Ripper///GC will stay in the hardware reset state ensuring it will not interfere with the GC's electronics. If you want to boot any other DVD like an original DVD from another region, backup of your legally owned game or homebrew software you must power up your GC when the DVD cover is opened. This feature can be helpful in the future for online gaming if some new games will have testing for the presence of the modchip enabled.
* The Ripper///GC is fully user reprogrammable. You can reflash it yourself but unfortunately not via DVD. We will supply special, free PCI-to-DIL adapters for all distributors listed in the section "distributors". All others will be able to purchase such adapters in a commercial manner for a small fee. You can use any eprom/3Vflash programmer for that such as the same programmer as you use for LPC memories. Normal programmers can flash many memory types. We use industry standard 29LV series of flash memory. The Ripper///GC is tested and in general there is no need to reflash it any more.
* We give you a warranty that our products are bug free from the beginning !
* The situation here is different then on the PS2 scene. The chip's firmware has nothing to do with future game releases like you experienced with PS2. We will be able to give you some updates with new features but for the most people the initial product will be enough.
* We decided to use the same PCB layout and almost the same components to reduce costs and to make the Ripper///GC available for everyone. The ability of the chip to be reprogrammed via DVD was sacrificed. It is nothing special to make a chip reprogrammable but it costs additional US dollars.

Hé voilou! Ca s'invente pô!!
En gros pour les allergic à l'english :
Elle est programmable via un programmeur
Elle boot directement les JEux originaux
pour bouter une backup y faut allumer le console avec le couverckle ouvert puis le fermer

Voila Voila
