La nouvelle m'est parvenu directement de l'équipe matrix.

" Hi Swan,

the problem is in the new LA Chip in the PSTWO.
It is presenting the same problem of the old LA chip in the V9/V10 PS2.
Already many people with modded and Unmodded PSTWO.

There is no LA6508 this time, but another Custom LA chip.
Also the classic LA fix for the V9/V10 is not working on the V12.


We are deeply studying this subject and we hope to find a soluton similar
to the "LA Protection Mod" for the V9/V10 PS2 as soon as possible.

Meantime remember:
1) Avoid use of -RW media. They put more stress on the laser and tracking
coils.
2) Avoid use of low reflectivity and low quality DVD-R. They also put more
stress on the laser and tracking coils.

Unfortunately no one can give you the confirmaion that that PSTWO or other
modded PSTWO will work good in the future.
At least not until we (or someone else) will have a final understanding on
what is causing this issue.
