A few people have emailed us to ask about the difference between Wiikey 2 chips that are white and the ones that are blue (as seen in the picture on our website). The simple answer is that the difference is in color only! The underlying hardware and firmware are exactly the same, regardless of color. The different colors simply represent different manufacturing runs.
You can be sure that you have received a genuine Wiikey 2 (blue or white) by first checking that it has an official Wiikey hologram and then by checking the serial number on the sticker. Then, load your Wiikey 2 config/utility disc (available in the resources section) and verify that the serial number displayed on-screen matches the serial number on the sticker.
